Hurricane Katrina Relief « Read Less
This gallery contains images from Biloxi and Louisiana after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. I was there working at a Red Cross Shelter in Ocean Springs.
Finally! i am red cross official, and put to work.
I leave Friday for Louisiana and will work til Sun/Mon at a shelter. I'll be driving down in a caravan with my cousin Robbie.
I went and got work boots and Mom bought me a sleeping bag.
Say a prayer that we have enough supplies and we are of good use to the people down there.
In other sad news... One of my co-workers got word today at work that his mother died in a nursing home in New Orleans. No word on exact details. So say one more prayer, if you can spare it, for the James family.

Hi thanks for adding me as a friend, I've been following lots of your hurricane katrina shots, and just want to commend you for doing what your doing. For giving your life to hlep these people in such need. Thank you also for sharing the images and stories with people like me...here in Canada, the whole situation could seem far away, seeing all these pictures reading all these stories help me remember how real the whole sitaution is. It reminds me to pray and give what I can. Thank you. Your heart is huge.
